What We Offer
Stoney End began as a dulcimer maker in 1978, and we’re proud to continue that tradition today. Each of our dulcimers is crafted with care, offering beautiful sound and playability for musicians of all levels. We currently offer three styles to suit different needs and playing experiences:
STandard
Compact and approachable, the Standard Dulcimer is our most popular size. With its 27″ vibrating string length, it’s comfortable to play, easy to carry, and produces a clear, bright tone. Ideal for beginners and seasoned players alike.
Parlor
For players looking for a deeper, richer sound, the 30″ Parlor Dulcimer delivers. The longer string length allows for fuller resonance and a broader tonal range, making it a favorite for home playing, performance, or recording.
Courting
The Courting Dulcimer is a unique design with two 27″ fretboards joined together, allowing two players to sit face-to-face and play the same instrument. Historically used for social music-making, this dulcimer is as charming as it is fun, offering a one-of-a-kind musical and interactive experience.
